 亚洲策略与领导研究院总执行长拿督杨元庆说，随着全球经济举步维艰，尤其欧美经济的不明朗，民间许多经济学家都认为明年的经济增长只介于4%至5%，即较政府的预测更低。 
 他说，政府5至6%的目标能否达成，要看全球经济及国内私人消费而定，因为全球经济走势将影响我国的出口表现，而私人消费则将牵制国内需求。
