Public Opinion at the CPPS: Contributors' Guidelines

1. What we are looking for

   • Strong theoretical contribution on existing themes and discussions, with sound analysis

   • Submissions should address a contemporary, broadly policy relevant issue, puzzle, or problem and provide a new insight or argument

   • Constructive policy pieces, commenting on current issues or in response to articles or publications released by the CPPS

   • Not necessarily academic in nature

2. Types of submissions allowed

   • Public Policy Theory

   • Policy Outcomes and Evaluation

   • Methodological Approaches to Policy Research

3. Length

   • Shorter pieces: 800 – 1000 words (articles and commentary)

   • Longer pieces: 1000 – 2500 words (analysis)

4. Format

   • Word Document

   • Font type 12

   • Single Spaced

   • Graphs and Tables on separate pages

5. Languages

   • English

   • Malay

   • Mandarin

   • Tamil

6. Bibliography & citation/ references

   • Format: Footnotes are sufficient for articles and analysis

7. Copyright

   • CPPS reserves intellectual property rights over article submitted

   • Not allowed to send article to other policy study institutes/ journals, etc.

   • Not previously published/ under review for publication

8. Short info about author(s)

   • Send a 2-liner about yourself.

9. Minimum age of contributor

   • There will be no minimum age for contributors

10. Submission procedure

11. Deadline

    • Deadlines for submission are at noon every Monday. Selected articles will be published
